|
Answer:
There will be no parent coaches allowed including White ODSL teams.
During the two meetings with team parents it was mentioned that there were potential ways to mitigate a parent as an coach underneath the age group head coach. This was only contextual information to inform those present that it had been actively discussed. The no parent coaching policy remains intact.
Another related question was asked by the audience regarding parents being allowed to help or assist the coaching staff. The answer to this was that it would be the professional coach’s discretion as to whether allowing a parent to become familiar with and help with drills would be productive.

| Q8: |
Will tryouts we different? |
|
Answer:
Tryouts will be much the same as in the past, with the VSA coaching staff running the tryouts and offers going first to Blue teams, then gold, and so on.
As part of our efforts to improve the soccer experience at VSA we are working on an on-line registration system for tryouts that will also serve as the payment system for the program once the offer is accepted. Periodic payments will be made online rather than having team managers have to collect individual checks and forward payment to the VSA Treasurer.
