If you have a 2007 patch, you must take a recertification clinic to referee this coming Spring!!

If you have a 2008 patch, you are all set for the Spring & next Fall.

To register for a clinic, click on this link: http://www.vadcsoccerref.com/

Then click on the left side of the page "Online Registration"
You must first register with the state and pay $45 on line or you can bring a check to class.
Print your receipt then go to the bottom of the page and click on Continue with registration and select a clinic. You will then browse and choose a Grade 8 recertification clinic.
I am sponsoring 2 clinics in the area: 12-15-07 & 1-26-2008. Both of these are at the Kingsbrook clubhouse in Bristow off of Linton Hall Road. There is no additional charge for the class, and once again print your receipt. You can also pick any of the other clinics and in most cases there is no additional charge for those as well.

Register ASAP - Last year the classes filled up quick and many referees had to go to other classes further away.

*** If this is your first recertification class, please note that there is an individual written test that you must pass to receive your new 2008 patch. Every year many individuals have failed the test and had to re-take an entire clinic and re-take and pass the test. It is very important that you review your rule book before the class and pay particular attention to "Restarts".

If your are a GRADE 9 Referee, you also have to take this recertification Clinic to receive a 2008 patch. However, I would highly recommend that you take the Grade 8 New referee clinic instead. Grade 9 referee are not covered by insurance for all age group. (Grade 9 can only do Recreational Centers up to U-12 & No Travel Centers at all; and the highest AR you can do for travel or Recreation is U-14.)
