Coach Bios:
Fabio Vicente - Born in Rio de Janeiro, Fabio played professionally in Vasco da Gama and Botafogo in Brazil’s 1st Division. In the US he played 4 years with a full scholarship for the University of the District of Columbia. He was selected three times for the NCAA State Team and he attended two NCAA play-offs. He played for the Brazilian Embassy FUTSAL Team and has won many championships in the US and overseas. As a coach Fabio has been very successful coaching LMVSA, DC Storm, Bethesda, NCSL and WAGS teams. He also works in all our STBW winter and summer camps. Fabio currently coaches two NCSL boys academy teams.
Mark Shade - Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Mark played on NCSL Div 1 teams while growing up, including playing on a U-17 VA State Cup Championship team. He played for Robinson High school in Fairfax, VA and was a starter for Christopher Newport University as a freshman. Mark has been coaching and training for the past eight years for STBW in the Northern Virginia area as well as running winter and summer camps for STBW. He currently coaches an NCSL team for STBW.
Larry Dolph -Larry graduated from LeMoyne College (NCAA Div III) in Syracuse, NY where he was a three-year goalkeeper starter and has played for various indoor and outdoor amateur adult teams in NY, NJ, and VA. He currently coaches an NCSL and WAGS team and also trains many travel teams for STBW. Larry is a goalkeeper trainer and holds a USSF National D license as well as the NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeper certifications. He has over six years coaching experience.
David MacMillan - David has been with STBW since its inception. He specializes in footskills and developing players. Patient and very familiar with Brazil’s academy system, he has developed many training manuals for clubs to assist the coaches. Besides coaching and training teams for STBW, Dave is also responsible for coaching clinics that the company provides for recreational and academy coaches in MD and VA.
Marcelo Iarussi - Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Marcelo played from 1983 to 1989 for Boca Juniors, 1991 to 1992 in Corporativa Depostiva Tulua, and in 1993 moved to Club Atletico Guadalajara. He is currently training travel teams for STBW and just ended the season coaching a girls academy teams. He is also responsible for all the winter clinics that STBW offers at Lifetime Fitness Centers. He designs the clinics to maximize touches on the ball to improve players’ footskills, thus increasing their game speed and spatial awareness.
Thiago da Silva - Born in Recife, Brazil, Thiago was playing for Esporte Clube Vitoria when at age 17 he was invited to play professional soccer for a second division team in Sao Paulo. In the US, Thiago participated in professional pre-seasons with the Baltimore Blast, Philadelphia KIXX and California Cougars, all clubs from Major Indoor Soccer League. Thiago received a full scholarship to play for the University of the District of Columbia. Currently Thiago is training both NCSL and WAGS teams for STBW as well as coaching a U-9 Girls academy team.
Italo Mota- Born and raised in the suburbs of Fortaleza -CE, (seacoast) Norteast of the Brazil. He started playing soccer early in life and by age 12 he was in the organized youth club called Colegio Marista where he received a full internship to study and play there. He also played Futsal for the same club. At age 18 he began playing right wing for the Cearea Futebol Club. At age 21 he moved to Bahia to play for the FAM (Faculdades Montenegro) and study Physical Education. Currently training travel teams for STBW and coaching the VSA Heat Boys U10.

Fadia Abu Hawa, graduated Rice University in Houston. She played for the Owls for two years. As a youth played, she played in Lebanon and Israel for the YMCA soccer clubs. Fadia was also a varsity high school player in Houston and played on the Texas Elite Soccer Club, where she was awarded the MVP three times. Her coaching career began when she moved to Virginia and coached travel teams for Vienna Youth Soccer Club. Fadia also has experience in individual as well as group training, with a background in the Brazilian way. She carries both an F and D license while currently working on obtaining her C license.
