· Season dates: usually begin first weekend in September/April and end first weekend in November/June, with no games held Columbus Day or Memorial Day weekends (refer to the team application for specifics).

· Games usually occur in the afternoon since many players also play for their Rec. teams in the morning.

· Once a location is scheduled for games in Haymarket, games will be held there every week.

· Each team should play 8 games, barring any schedules issues with cancellations.

· Directions to the chosen field will be posted on the VSA website at www.vsaonline.org.

· If it rained in the last three days – check the VSA website for field closures.

· If fields are open - but wet – the referee will make the call.  http://www.vsaonline.org/ is the field closure website

· If the fields are closed the game will be rescheduled or cancelled.

· Wet fields - referee has final say at game time.

· Honoring the game – respect the rules, players, and referees. Abuse from players, coaches and fans will not be tolerated.

· Winning and losing is introduced because kids can count but we do not keep standings.

· Carded travel players are prohibited. This developmental program is intended for educating players “crossing over” to travel, not for winning matches.

· Recruiting players from other teams is prohibited. If someone from your team is found to be recruiting, your team may be dropped from participation for the remainder of the season and your entire club from future participation.

· Keep the field clean. Encourage your fans to pick up their trash and anything lying around. Leave it cleaner than when you arrived…please.
