VSA Board Elections – Get involved!
Each year, we elect half of our Officers and half of our Board of Directors for two year terms. VSA will be electing 2 Officers and 3 of its Board of Director’s positions this fall. Officer elections will take place at the October board meeting and Directors will be elected at the November board meeting. Nominations take place the month prior to each election. Interested parties may express interest by sending a short bio or letter to

president@vsaonline.org by Sepetember 10th 2011.
The positions that are due for open election are:
Vice President:
- Assist the club President as required
- Form and publish agendas for board meetings
- Attend board meetings and provide other support as required
Treasurer:
- Maintain clubs financial records in coordination with club accountant
- Manage payroll for club staff
- Manage accounts payable/receivable
- Provide monthly financial report at board meetings
Director of Equipment:
- Distribute, receive and account for seasonal equipment for recreational teams
- Responsible for overall management of VSA soccer equipment
- Order replacement equipment as necessary
- Ensure travel equipment is managed and accounted for on game days
- Works with the VSA Assignor as necessary
- Attend board meetings and provide support as required
Director of Field Operations:
- Responsible for oversight of VSA fields
- Resolve field-related issues
- Ordering and/or repairing field equipment as required
- Working with park authority for initial and mid-seasonand tournament linings
- Ensuring fields are kept lined during the season
- Attend board meetings and provide support as required
Director of Travel Soccer:
- Responsible for administration aspects of travel programs
- Assist Technical Director as necessary to facilitate travel soccer program
- Manages club representives for WAGS, NCSL and ODSL
- Administer or ensure administration of cross-over program
- Manages team managers
- Keep travel program policies and procedures up to date
- Communicate important information to team managers as required
- Conduct pre-season meeting as necessary
- Work with club administrator to:
- Coordinate practice schedules
- Coordinate and advertise travel tryouts
- Work with club reps to adjust game schedules to resolve conflicts and/or omve games to turf
- Convene where necesary rules and discipline hearings for travel program
- Represent Travel and Cross-over program equities on the VSA Board of Directors
