Last fall, VSA’s Board of Directors met with the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors to discuss safety concerns after a collision between a logging truck and a car on Route 15 left the mangled car sitting just a few hundred feet from a popular spectator spot off Field 7 at Long Park.

Gainesville District Supervisor John T. Stirrup, Jr. agreed there was an immediate need to secure the safety of our soccer players and their fans. Thanks to Stirrup’s active support of VSA, a guardrail now sits off Route 15 and stretches the entire length of Field 7, assuring the safety of our VSA family.

Stirrup’s quick response guaranteed VSA a safe and successful spring season on its turf fields.
