The New Fields are Finally Installed!!!
Please Help Protect Them!

Water only on the artificial fields...No food, gum, candy, sports drinks, sodas, or coffee.  These things can gum up the in-fill and drainage system, plus cause mold and bacteria to grow.  Please no pets on the artificial fields.  Smoking and noise makers are not allowed at any of the VSA fields.  Click continue to see a picture history of the construction.

Donate to the VSA Field Fund
All proceeds will go to installation of new artificial turf fields at Long Park

CLICK HERE to make a donation.     Virginia Soccer Association is a 501c3 charitable not-for-profit organization.  All donors will receive recognition unless they desire anonymity.  Special donor opportunities exist (such as field naming to honor a family member).

This project will be a tremendous gift to the citizens of Western Prince William County. Benefits of the new artificial turf fields include:

  • New fields will serve both the recreation and competitive soccer programs
  • Consistently superior playing surface, no matter what the weather. Too wet…too dry. No longer a problem.

  • A safe environment that reduces injuries

  • Environmentally friendly

  • Extended playing times…allows for more games per day and more days per year

  • Easily converted to accommodate different size fields for different age groups

  • Adaptable for the Special Needs Player

  • Artificial fields will generate revenue for VSA to benefit the program and offset the debt service

  • Special lighting that does not invade surrounding neighborhoods will extend the day so that more parents who have long commutes can participate with or watch their players.  Lighting will also allow for evening adult play.

Sportsmanship Expectations
The Virginia Soccer Association has certain expectations of exemplary sportsmanship on the part of the teams, players, coaches, volunteers, and parents participating in the league. The soccer skills that we teach our players will serve many of them well into adulthood.  In addition, all our players will benefit through-out their lives by what we teach them about sportsmanship, respect for their opponent, respect for the officials, and dignity.
