We have three requirements for any adult coming in contact with a minor player. This includes players who are 18 years of age. Head coaches must be at least 18 years old. Assistant coaches must be at least 16 years old. These requirements are mandatory from our Governing body Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) and the state of Virginia. 

The requirements are:

1. a passing background check through Trusted Employees (5 minutes to complete),

2. a course in Safesport (90 minutes to complete) which is a course in Abuse prevention in youth sports, 

3. a course in Concussion Awareness from CDC Heads Up (30 minutes to complete). 

YOU CANNOT COACH UNTIL THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE COMPLETE.

Once these are complete you will receive your coaching discount (refund) and will be able to start coaching right away. 

*We will designate 1 head coach per team and up to 2 assistant coaches per team. The Head Coach discount is 50% of registration and the assistant coach discount is $10. Refunds are given ONLY IF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ARE COMPLETED AND DONE SO IN A TIMELY MANNER.

**Refunds are processed twice per season (Spring - March 15th & April 15th) (Fall - August 15th & September 15th)
