"Every Kick Counts" is an inclusive footgolf fundraiser supporting TOPSoccer -- US Youth Soccer's program for athletes with disabilities. VSA is proud to sponsor Virginia's largest TOPSoccer program, providing an opportunity for nearly 100 athletes with special needs to enjoy soccer.  

Goals of the Event:

• Increase TOPSoccer awareness
• Fun / inclusive activity for the entire VSA soccer community (recreation, travel, TOPS, adult athletes, referees, parents, club officials, sponsors, and coaches). Families, friends, teammates can all enter foursomes for this fun event.
• Raise funds to support TOPSoccer, which VSA proudly provides as a free program so families that have a child with a disability can enjoy the many benefits of soccer even if medical and therapy expenses are putting a strain on the household budget. 
• Attract more volunteers, which are the secret sauce to this program's success. 

Format:

• 9-hole footgolf course setup at LongPark.  Participants kick a soccer ball into the footgolf targets -- it's golf with a soccer ball.  
• Each foursome will play using a scramble "best ball" format. All four players on a team will kick a shot and then the players decide which one they like best.  The balls from the other three shots are picked up and move to the location of the best ball.   All four players then play from that spot. This continues until the hole is finished. There is only one score per hole for each foursome.  The lowest team score is the tournament winner. Prizes will be awarded for the three lowest scoring teams.
• Teams that include a TOPSoccer athlete will be given "mulligans" for two additional kicks that can be used at any point during the round.
