Weekly Awards - April 13th
Player & Teams of the Week announced
Team of the Week
U17 Boys White
The U17 boys scored a last minute equalizer in a 2-2 tie with the Delaware Union Fire. The boys played fantastic throughout the game and were unfortunate not to come away with all three points. Coach Bronson Gambale had this to say about his team.
"I'm proud of these young men and their grit and fight," said Gambale. "We are trying to develop mentally strong players and they displayed that on Sunday."
Player of the Week
Sebastian was instrumental for the U12 Boys Blue team. He recorded a shut out and had 7 saves in their 2-0 win over Calvert Gunners. Goalkeeping Director, Danny Free, had this to say about Sebastian being the first GK to win the weekly award.
"It's great to see a goalkeeper get recognition for a fantastic performance," said Free. "Being a goalkeeper is not the most glamorous position, you don't always receive the accolades, so when they come you have to make the most of them. Well done Sebastian."
